Local Rockers Celebrate 15 Years

The popular local band Street-Wise celebrated 15 years of rock and roll with a reunion performance on June 6, 2008 at McGhan’s Nearly Famous Pub, in Victor, NY starting at 9:00 pm. Formed in May 1993, this band has survived and flourished in an industry and time frame that has seen many similar bands come and go.

Roughly half of the band's alums were in attendance at McGhan's on June 6th and they all took the opportunity to join current members of the band in several tunes from the current and past playlists. Listeners said they were impressed with the quality of the music as well as the enduring friendships that were in evidence on stage that night.

Two commemorative CDs featuring Live and Studio recordings of the band, made over the band's 15 years, were available in exchange for a United Way donation. The CDs were eagerly snapped up by band members and friends in attendance, and a $50 donation to the United Way resulted. The band plans to continue on its mission to bring up-beat fun-filled entertainment to the public where ever opportunities arise. And they are eagerly looking forward to their 20th Anniversary Outing! Stay tuned for details!
